Kushki launches POS system in Chile

Ecuadorian payments unicorn Kushki launched a point of sale system in Chile, marking its entry into the in-person payment solutions market. With the launch of in-person payment services in partnership with two local clients in Chile, Kushki aims to double its current growth rate in the country by the end of 2024.

“This is great news for the Chilean payment ecosystem. Having more players like Kushki offering multichannel alternatives is crucial for boosting competition and strengthening financial inclusion for individuals and businesses. Chile is one of our main markets in the region, and we are committed to ensuring all commercial establishments can benefit from our services,” said Rodrigo Quijada, Country Manager of Kushki in Chile.

In 2023, Kushki became the first non-bank merchant acquirer in Latin America and achieved a 25% growth in the first half of 2024 compared to the same period in 2023.
