Prometeo, a Uruguayan open finance fintech that offers simple and automated access to bank information and payments across Latin America through a single API, launched its account validation solution in the United States.
Prometeo’s banking software platform provides automated access to information and transactions through a single API, connecting to over 500 financial institutions in 11 countries. It also verifies bank account authenticity before processing transfers, reducing the risk of phishing and information manipulation.
“As fintech regulations rise globally, account validation solutions are becoming more essential than ever,” said Ximena Aleman, Prometeo’s Co-founder and co-CEO.
Prometeo’s account validation service offers full coverage in the United States, Uruguay, Brazil, and Mexico, with plans to reach full coverage in Peru, Argentina, and Chile by 2024.
