Tul merges with Sooper

Colombian online construction materials and hardware marketplace Tul merged with Brazilian counterpart Sooper.

Tul brings expertise in Spanish-speaking markets like Mexico and Colombia, while Sooper offers deep knowledge of the Brazilian market.

The merger brings the companies’ combined portfolio to 82,000 products and 10,000 customers. Both brands will continue to coexist, with a transition plan set for the next 90 days.

“We are creating the formula to innovate in a sector that still operates predominantly in an analog manner, with inefficiencies throughout the entire supply chain and little price transparency,” said Rafaela Khouri, Sooper’s Founder and CEO.

Brazil plays a key role in the regional expansion with its over 140,000 hardware stores. The market is highly fragmented and offline, with only 1% of B2B transactions through e-commerce.
