Welcome to the LatamList roundup, your bi-monthly summary of the Latin America startup scene.
Fintech startups took the spotlight in the first half of June, with a launch in Paraguay from an Argentinian startup and activity in Chile and Colombia. Here are the product launches and partnerships we saw in the last two weeks.
Launches
- Rocketfy, a Colombian startup that allows entrepreneurs to create their own e-commerce stores, launched Colombia’s first no-cost digital debit card for e-commerce entrepreneurs. The card will carry the Visa brand. Read more on LatamFintech Hub.
Partnerships
- Chilean pet insurance startup Cacttus partnered with Chile’s largest insurance firm BCI Seguros. Cacttus plans to leverage BCI Seguro’s distribution to scale its business and reach new customers. Read more on Startups Latam.
- PayGoal, an Argentinian white label payment platform provider, partnered with Bancard, a Paraguayan payment acquirer, to launch Tokefon in Paraguay. Tokefon allows cell phones to accept payments using NFC technology. Read more on LatamFintech Hub.
