500 Global announced its fourth fund, 500 LatAm Seed IV, L.P, to invest in Latin American tech startups. The venture capital firm will triple its investment amount in each startup compared to previous funds.
Additionally, 500 Global will provide more personalized and deeper support to founders.
“We are living in a moment in our industry and in Latin America, where the opportunity to make an impact on millions of people through technology is big, fast and is now.” explained Santiago Zavala, one of the partners.
500 Global has been active in Latin America for more than 10 years and invested in over 300 startups. Didier Quiroz, René Lomelí, Santiago Zavala, Regina Zurutuza, and Damaris Mendoza all from Latin America are current partners of the fund, which has backed successful ventures like Konfío, Platzi, or Clip.
