Mercado Pago, the financial services arm of Mercado Libre, launched a digital wallet in Colombia.
“By launching a digital wallet, we reaffirm our commitment to leading Colombia’s digital payment transformation, offering tools for fast, reliable, and secure financial management,” said Iván Moncada, Head of Digital Accounts at Mercado Pago in Colombia.
Mercado Pago’s wallet allows users to register credit and debit cards from any local bank, track expenses and income in one place, and top up via Pago Seguro en Línea (PSE), a payment getaway developed by ACH Colombia. Users can also access discount coupons at partner stores such as Buscalibre, Vans, Pepe Ganga, Locatel, H&M, and Mercado Libre.
To date, over 600K users have downloaded Mercado Pago’s mobile app in Colombia.
